Phone Numbers for your Business

Peoplefone proposes 3 options for your business phone numbers:

OPTION 1: Display for free your current Number

If you want to display your current when using peoplefone only for outgoing calls, you can activate this fonction for free directly on your peoplefone account.If you want that each user shows a different display (managed by your PBX), please contact us and we will authorise all numbers in your ownership.

OPTION 2: Buy a peoplefone Swiss Number

All Swiss prefixes are available. The prices incl. VAT are determined by the number of phone number. A bloc of number is defined as consecutive numbers from the same prefix. If you buy 3 different non consecutive numbers, you will pay 3 x CHF 5.-/month.

OPTION 3: Transfer your current Number to peoplefone (porting)

If you want to take the advantage of porting your current number from you present provider to peoplefone, you just need to fill in the porting documents (directly on your peoplefone account - Phone Numbers- Number Porting), to sign and make the payment in advance and send to us.

Porting procedure

After the Number Porting all outgoing and incoming calls are over internet (VoIP). You therefore need absolutely an internet connection with any internet provider! (PLEASE NOTE: Should your internet contract be tied to a fixline phone number, you need to clarify the possibilities to keep the internet contract like for example the offer of Swisscom DSL@mobile).

The phone number contract will be terminated through the porting process and the phone number will be transfered to peoplefone. The porting documents have to be filled and signed from the proprietor of the number (Important: the name at the power of attorney has to be exactly the same as the proprietor of the number!). The number has still to be owned by the proprietor (the contract can be already terminated, but absolutely still on the period of notice!).

The number porting can only be done in Switzerland. The outporting of your number can be done anytime. Once the yearly fee is payed, it will not be reimbursed.

Porting Date

Peoplefone does the number portings always on the last Wednesday of each month. You can indicate the month you want or the next possible date (if the porting documents and payment arrives at peoplefone BEFORE the 15. of the same month).

Following documents are necessary:

A. Contract with peoplefone
B. Power of Attorney
C. Payment of Porting costs for the first year in advance

Please read the porting documents first carefully. You will need to register for free at peoplefone. Go afterwards directly on your peoplefone account to Phone Numbers - Number Porting, fill in the document, print, sign and send to peoplefone and make the payment.
